Graff Watches

Graff is a British luxury jewelry house founded by Laurence Graff in London in 1960. The company built its global reputation around exceptional diamonds and rare gemstones and later extended that expertise into high-jewelry watches and sophisticated Swiss timepieces.

Graff watches are crafted in Geneva, Switzerland, combining Swiss watchmaking with the diamond-setting and jewelry craftsmanship for which the house is best known. The collection spans relatively understated automatic watches through extraordinarily elaborate diamond-set creations.

The Eclipse represents the more watchmaking-focused side of the current collection. The 43mm Eclipse uses a lightweight titanium case with a black DLC coating and an ultra-thin automatic movement designed and built exclusively for Graff in Switzerland. The case measures only 7mm thick, while the movement provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve.

Women’s watches occupy a major part of the Graff collection. The Spiral family combines compact white or rose gold cases with diamonds and dials made from materials such as mother-of-pearl, malachite, tiger’s eye, or pavé-set diamonds. These jewelry watches use precision quartz movements that allow the cases to remain compact and elegant.

The Classic Butterfly translates one of Graff’s signature jewelry motifs into watch design. Versions range from comparatively restrained stainless steel watches to highly elaborate white-gold models set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, or emeralds.

The Tilda’s Bow collection applies another recognizable Graff jewelry motif to watchmaking. Diamond-set bows appear around or across the watch design, with selected versions using extensive diamond bracelets and precious-metal construction.

Wild Flower watches similarly adapt the floral forms of the jewelry collection into compact diamond watches, combining white gold, diamond-set bracelets, and jewel-like dials.

Beyond its regular collections, Graff is particularly notable for unique high-jewelry timepieces. These pieces can conceal a watch dial beneath articulated arrangements of diamonds, allowing the creation to function visually as both a jewel and a timepiece.

The house has also explored far more complicated mechanical watchmaking. Historical Graff collections such as MasterGraff and GyroGraff have included tourbillons, GMT functions, moon phases, minute repeaters, and other high complications.

The GyroGraff is particularly recognizable for its double-axis tourbillon and spherical moon-phase display. Special editions have also showcased advanced decorative techniques, including diamond marquetry created from carefully shaped precious stones and polished components.

Diamonds remain the defining material across much of the range. Graff controls its jewelry creations from stone selection and cutting through design and setting, allowing its watchmakers and jewelers to integrate substantial quantities of diamonds directly into cases, dials, bezels, and bracelets.

Movements vary according to the type of watch. Jewelry-focused models frequently use Swiss quartz movements, while watches such as the Eclipse use exclusive Swiss automatic mechanical movements. Highly complicated historical and special-edition pieces employ sophisticated mechanical calibres matched to their complications.

Current pricing reflects the enormous range of the collection. The titanium Eclipse begins at roughly $11,600, diamond Spiral watches start above $20,000, and elaborate Tilda’s Bow models can exceed $380,000. Unique high-jewelry timepieces can reach substantially higher values.
